Betty Jane Dewberry, 82, of New Castle, passed away the night of March 25, 2016 at Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harmony, PA. Born in New Castle on April 17, 1933, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Rusnick Richardson. She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Paul E. Dewberry. They were married November 17, 1963. Mrs. Dewberry attended New Castle High School and Lawrence County Vo-Tech. She was employed at Overlook Medical Clinic as an LPN. Music and playing the piano were among her accomplishments. She also loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a former member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband, Betty is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Metrick of Evans City and Carol (Ronald) Korn of Valencia, PA; two stepchildren, Mark Dewberry of California and Jan Dewberry of New Castle; and three grandchildren, Greg Metrick, Chad Metrick and Maiya Korn. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, William Richardson; one nephew, David Richardson; and one infant son. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
