Betty M. Kerr, 92, formerly of Eastbrook-Neshannock Falls Rd, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at Shenango Presbyterian Senior Care, New Wilmington, PA. She was born in New Castle on November 7, 1925, to the late Martin and Eva Main Booher. She married George G. Kerr on Nov. 20, 1945 who preceded her in death on Sept 2, 1997. She was a life-long member of Rick Hill Presbyterian Church and a member of the Miller Missionary Society. She passed on her love of music to her children and grandchildren. She taught piano lessons in her home and served as organist for area churches. She enjoyed reading and was a volunteer with the Jameson Junior Guild. Survivors include three daughters: Shirley L. Kerr of Butler, PA., Joyce E. (Mike) Loudon of Lakeland., FL, and Marsha A. Kerr of Greensboro, NC.; three grandchildren: Andrew (Anne) Loudon, Amanda (Eddy) Rodell, and Nathan (Stephanie) Loudon; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Booher, and a sister, Kathryne (George) Pontius. Honoring her wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will greet friends an hour before, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, the memorial service, which will be held Friday, June 29, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Interment will follow in Rich Hill Cemetery.
