Charles "Charlie" "Chuck" A. Birney, 40, passed away the morning of March 18, 2020, at his residence. Born July 28, 1979, in New Castle, he was the son of Doyle W. & Carolyn A. (Gray) Birney, Jr. Charlie was a graduate of Neshannock High School. He attended the Adult Training Facility, Group Support, at St. Joseph's School. Charlie enjoyed walks, country music, watching his favorite TV show, The Golden Girls, and eating his favorite lunch, cheeseburgers. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Charlie is survived by his mother, Carolyn A. Birney; one brother, Christopher (Dina) Birney of Parma, Idaho; one sister, Melissa J. Gardner of New Castle and his nieces and nephews, Kelsie, Carson and Camille Birney and Annelise & Kylene Clark. Along with his father, Charlie was preceded in death by his grandparents; a brother-in-law, Darrin Gardner; and one aunt, Barb Clark. Visitation and services are private. A memorial service, to honor Charlie, will be announced at a later date. Entombment will be at Trinity Episcopal Church. Memorial Contributions may be offered to Adult Training Facility, 1111 S.
