Clifford A. White, 58, of New Castle passed away the evening of July 18, 2016 at his residence. Born on March 1, 1958, he was a son of Calvin D. and Margaret Jean Johnston White. On March 10, 1984, he married Elizabeth A. Dunkerley. She survives him at home. A graduate of New Castle High School, he served in the US Air Force. He was self employed as a contractor and also worked security. Among his many interests were trains, fishing, and playing video games online. He attended Evangel Community Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Andrea Harcar of Youngstown, Ohio; one son, Nathan (Carolanne) White of New Castle; four brothers, Calvin White of Houma, Louisiana, Daniel White of St. Pete, Florida, David White of New Castle, and Ronald White of Largo, Florida; an uncle, Hartley Johnston of New Castle; an aunt, Mabel DeLong of California; and seven grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Strobel and Rev. Harry Edenhoffer officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery. The family wishes that any memorial contributions be sent to Elizabeth White to assist with funeral arrangements.
