Daniel L. Pauline, age 67, of Neshannock Township, passed away the afternoon of August 4, 2015 at his residence.
Born December 14, 1947 in New Castle, he was a son of the late James and Audrey McAllen Pauline.
Surviving at home is his wife of 39 years, Debra Kelley Pauline, whom he married on August 30, 1975.
After attending New Castle High School, Daniel served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969-1972 during the Vietnam war, achieving the rank of E-1.
He was an independent truck driver for Dallas & Mavis Trucking Company out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
A member of Mary, Mother of Hope and the VFW Post 315, he enjoyed woodworking, antique cars and playing cards. He was a fan of both NASCAR and football, but loved the times he spent traveling with his family. Daniel could often be found tinkering in his garage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel J. and Courtney Pauline of New Castle; one brother, Richard (Connie) Pauline of New Castle; one sister, Jean (Lucian) Paglia of New Castle; and was "Papa" to four loving grandchildren, Adrienne Elizabeth, Katelynn Olivia, Oscar James, and Kamron Alycia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joseph Pauline and Ronald McAllen Sr.; one sister, Minnie Melissa Pauline; his grandparents, Guiseppi and Sandarella Paolini and Loyal and Myrtle McAllen; and his father and mother-in-law, Edward J. Sr. and Genevie Kelley
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday for Mary, Mother of Hope, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Larry Adams will be officiating.
Military rites will be given by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
