David E. Miller, 67, formerly of Union Township, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017, at The Grove in New Wilmington. David was born on Feb. 24, 1950, a son of the late Julian "Bud" and A. Joanne Miller. He was a loving brother to Mary Miller Spanoudakis and her husband, Andrew, of Pittsburgh and uncle to Alaina Spanoudakis Davis (Brian), Stephen Spanoudakis (Jessica Flaherty) and Nicholas Spanoudakis (Sara McGinnis) of Pittsburgh. David also had a special bond with his cousin, Robert Miller of Mt. Jackson, and to the Gebhart family of Mt. Jackson, for whom he worked for many years until his ataxia disease prevented him from continuing. David was black belt in karate, a fan of NASCAR, a hunter and fisherman and loved the Beatles. He is also survived by his aunts, Joan Stewart of New Castle and Jane Schuetz of Midland, Michigan; his uncle, Jim Roberts of New Castle; as well as many cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Julian "Hap" and Elizabeth Miller and A. Eugene and Lena Reynolds; and his aunt, Ruth Roberts. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
