Gregory R. Wooley, 66, of New Castle, passed away the morning of January 10, 2014 at Jameson Hospital. Born November 15, 1947 in New Castle, he was a son of Les and Dorothy Johnson Wooley Smith, and the step-son of Porter Smith. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shyrl Horton Wooley, whom he married April 18, 1969. Greg served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed in sales at Preston Ford Motors in Sharon. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Paul G. Wooley and David W. Wooley, both of New Castle; and two grandsons, Caleb and Gavin Wooley. In addition to his parents and step-father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
