Obituary

Helen June Sniezek Fullerton, age 103 of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Jan. 07, 2021, at Avalon Springs in Mercer, PA. Born June 7, 1917, in Farrell, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Bara) Koch. She was married to her first husband, Edmund Sniezek, for several years, until his death. Subsequently, she married Charles Fullerton, who preceded her in death, as well. She worked for the Pants Factory, as a seamstress. In addition, she was a welder and produced war materials during World War II. She also worked at the bargain center as a clerk and in her spare time, was a housekeeper. Helen loved to cook, bake, and loved flowers, especially violets. She loved bacon, Coney Island hot dogs, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was always well dressed and took pride in her appearance. Above all, she was a servant to the Lord and a woman of prayer. She was a member of Independent Methodist Church. Survivors include her two sons, Ron Sniezek and Larry (Ruth) Sniezek, both of New Castle, PA; her grandchildren, Raschelle (Tom) Smith, Renee (Rick) Giordano, Larry A. Sniezek, all of New Castle, PA, Tim Lutz of Wampum, PA and Wendy Lutz of New Castle, PA; her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Reagan and Carter Smith, Gio and Giada Giordano, Nadia Sniezek and Wiley Lutz. Along with her parents and husbands, Helen was preceded in death by her 9 brothers and sisters and daughter-in-law, Kay Sniezek. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
