Helen Katherine "Kay" Williams, 92, of New Castle, passed away the morning of March 9, 2018 at her residence.
Born on November 15, 1925, in New Wilmington Pa, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nannie Mae Kaufman Byler. She married Harry E. Williams on December 14, 1946. He preceded her in death May 5, 1986.
Kay was a cafeteria worker at Laurel High School for many years. She was a member of Jameson Guild and Wimodausis. Mrs. Williams was also a 50 year member of Highland Presbyterian Church , volunteered at Jameson Hostess Shop, loved to read Amish stories and daily devotions, and play dominos. Most important to Kay was her family and the time that she spent with them.
Kay is survived by one daughter; Susan E. (Doug) Spiker of New Castle, a daughter-in-law; Gina Williams of New Castle, two sons; Harry E. (Lorraine) Williams, Jr. of Weatherford TX., David C. Williams of New Castle, one son-in-law; Dr. Herbert Hunt, nine grandchildren and twelve great grand children, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Along with her parents and late husband, preceding her in death were one daughter; Kay Marie Hunt, one son; John Williams, one brother; Arthur Williams, and one sister; Ruth Connerly.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Richard Kinney officiating.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
