James N. Alborn, age 84, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of March 29, 2025, at Orchard Manor.

Born May 3, 1940, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Norman and Mildred (Lockhart) Alborn.

On April 10, 1964, he married his beloved wife, Judith (Johnston) Alborn. She preceded him in death.

James was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He enjoyed flying with his friends anytime he could. James was a collector of model planes, trains, and cars. He worked as a printer for several years, employed by Commercial Printing, until his retirement.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy (Josh) Proch and Susan (Robert) Kirkwood both of New Castle, PA; one son, Dave Alborn of New Castle, PA; one brother Charles Alborn of New Castle, PA; six grandchildren, Courtney Bretz, Rachel Royle, Kevin Zubasic, Lauren Zubasic, Morgan Borland, and Kristen Zubasic; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Bretz and Avery Bretz.

In keeping with his wishes there will be a private service held at the family's convenience.

Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
