Jon M. Horrell, age 56 of New Castle, passed away the evening of May 2, 2020, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born August 13, 1963, in Grove City, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Elsie Ruth (Sibert) Horrell. On July 16, 1986, he married his beloved wife, Vicki (Woodard) Horrell. She survives at home. Jon graduated from Laurel High School in 1981. After graduation, Jon enlisted in the United States Navy, where he retired from, in 2002. After his career in the Navy, he then went on to work in Boyers, PA, where he is currently employed at O.P.M., as an HR specialist. Jon enjoyed golfing, camping, hunting, and fishing. What gave Jon the most joy in life, was spending time with his friends and family in the outdoors. He attended Plain Grove Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, Vicki, Jon is survived by one son, Zakary Horrell of New Castle, PA; one brother, Ron (Beth) Horrell of New Castle, PA; one sister, Sandy (Galen) Stewart of New Castle, PA; one brother-in-law, Michael Woodard (Sharon Surver Jerrell) of Melbourne, FL; one sister-in-law, Mary Horrell of New Castle, PA; two nephews, Mike (Emily) Horrell of New Castle, PA, Joe Horrell of Moon Township, PA; and two great nieces, Jorgia and Charlee Horrell. Along with his parents, Jon was preceded in death by one brother, Charles "Butch" Horrell. Due to the unfortunate health crisis, there will be no visitation or services.
