Lee R. White, Sr., 81, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord the afternoon of October 18, 2016 after an extended illness. Born April 22, 1935 in Warren, Ohio, he was the son of Arthur W. and Olive Annabelle White. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jo Ann Kumrow White, whom he married June 9, 1956. Lee attended New Castle High School and was employed as a laborer with Blair Strip Steel. Lee attended Wayside Emmanuel Church. Among his many interests, he enjoyed hunting, camping and playing cards. He was a member of the NRA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Don Boak of New Castle; one son, Lee R. White, Jr. of New Castle; one daughter, Joyce Bongivengo of Sharpsville; 5 grandchildren, Erich White, Katie White, Josh White, Brandon White, and Cory Bongivengo; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jolee White and Isaac White. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Timothy D. White; and one brother, Bill White. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev.
