Lewis G. "Lew" Mitten, 68, of Pulaski, passed away the morning of December 12, 2010 in Jameson Hospital.Born on January 28, 1942, in New Castle, he was a son of Lexie and Anna I. Fishburn Mitten. He was a member of the first graduating class at Laurel High School in 1960. Lew married Donna J. Fisher Mitten on May 6, 1972. She survives in Pulaski. He served with the National Guard for twenty-nine years. His last ranking was of Master Sergeant. Lew was a member of the Eagles, American Legion, and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter. Lew was also a member of First Baptist Church.In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Marcie Lambert, of Pulaski; a son, Jeffrey V. Mitten, of Norristown, PA; a brother, Gerald A. Mitten, of New Castle; and a granddaughter, Alexis Lambert.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010, at R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 6 p.m., at the funeral home. The Rev.
