Linda M. Houck, age 81, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 16, 2025, at her residence.

Born May 19, 1943, in Smicksburg, PA, she was the daughter of Marlin and Bessie (Cunningham) Ferringer.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph K. Houck, whom she married December 30, 1965.

Linda was a graduate of Dayton High School. She worked as a bus driver with George Ku for ten years. She then went on to work for the Mohawk Area School District for eighteen years, until her retirement. Among her interests, she enjoyed traveling, cooking, her beloved dogs, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended Victory Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Cory Houck of New Castle, Matthew Houck of New Castle, and Daniel Houck of Pittsburgh; one brother, Larry Ferringer of Smicksburg, PA; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Elzie Ferringer.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or services.
