Marcel C. Guido, 65, of Highland Beach, Florida, passed away April 13, 2014 at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.Born May 1, 1948 in New Castle, she was a daughter of William and Marcel Knittle Carenbauer.She is survived by her husband, John D. Guido, Jr., who resides in Florida.A 1966 graduate of New Castle High School, she went on to attend Youngstown State University.Marcel's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving, devoted, wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends.In addition to her husband John, she is survived by two sons, John D. Guido of Lake Worth, FL. and William E. Guido of Wexford, PA; one sister, Elsa Stewart of York, PA; two brothers, George Carenbauer of New Castle, and John Carenbauer of East Brady, PA; and seven grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A blessing service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014, immediately following visitation at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Father Thomas Lewandowski.Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hillman Cancer Center, c/o UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside, 5115 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
