Martha I. Wolford, age 85 of New Castle, passed into the presence of her Lord on July 28, 2019 at UPMC Jameson Care Center Born July 21, 1934, in Youngstown, OH, she was the daughter of the late Torrence Guy & Velma P. (Ruby) Van Meter. She married her beloved husband, Glenn A. Wolford on June 20, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2014. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Van Meter Mrs. Wolford was a graduate of Union High School. She was employed by Westminster College as an Executive Secretary for 28 years. She was also a secretary at Sisters of Humility of Mary Community Center. Martha loved to read, but what gave her the most joy in life, was spending time with her family. She was a member of First Alliance Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years Martha is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane (William) Kalajainen of Lansdale, PA; Leslie (Dennis) Ratvasky of Pulaski, PA; Sandra (Greg) Workman of Dayton, OH; one son, Gary (Betsy) Wolford of New Castle, PA; five grandchildren, Kiersten (Talbot) Reiber, Aaron (Erin) Workman, Brady (Jillian) Workman, Nick Wolford, Steve Wolford; and two great grandchildren, Romney and Tenley Reiber Visitation will be held on Friday Aug 9th from 3:00 – 6:00 PM, at First Alliance Church, 111 Mission Meade Drive, New Castle, PA 16105. A service will take place immediately following visitation at 6:00pm with Rev Philip Harrison officiating Burial will be beside her husband at Evergreen Cemetery Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
