Sara Lang, 88, of Greensburg, PA, passed away the evening of May 26, 2015 at Westmoreland Manor. Born February 10, 1927 in Gross Alisch, Transylvania, she was the daughter of Georg and Sara Zakel Lang. Sara was employed with G.C. Murphy as a clerk, and previously for Shenango China. Among her interests she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and bowling. She was a formerly a member of A.T.S. and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Sara is survived by a sister-in-law, Carole Lang, of North Huntingdon, PA.; 1 niece, Kristine (Tim) Birus of Irwin, PA; 1 nephew, Georg M. (Kim) Lang of Lancaster, Ohio; great nieces and nephews, Sam Birus, Maggie Birus, Matthew Lang, Abbie Lang, and Luke Lang. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Georg Lang. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place Monday immediately following visitation at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Sean Walters will be officiating. Burial will be in Castle View Cemetery.
