Thomas A. Heinrich, 55, peacefully left this earth to begin a new and beautiful life in heaven after a losing battle with lung cancer on October 8, 2011. Tom was born to the late Robert and Anna Mae Rorison Heinrich on September 26, 1956, in New Castle, PA. He spent 34 years employed by the B&O Railroad & CSX, most recently serving as a Yard Master. Mr. Heinrich was a Member of the Elks, Eintract Singing Society and the Casimer Pulaksi Club. He was also an avid fisherman, camper, sports card collector and loved spending time with his children and grandson. Mr. Heinrich spent time attending Highland Presbyterian Church in his younger years. Tom will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but they take solice in knowing that although their world will be a bit dimmer without him, they know that Heaven will be much brighter with him.Tom is survived by his wife, Leslie A. Scarnati Heinrich; two daughters Camille and husband Donald Ledsome, Kaye Lynn; son, John R. Heinrich all of New Castle; three brothers and one sister-in-law, James R. Heinrich of Pittsburgh, Carl W. Heinrich of New Castle, John S. and wife Karen of McMurry, PA; one sister, Mary Lou Heinrich of Pittsburgh and one grandson, Wyatt Ledsome of New Castle.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct 11, 2011, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, from 10-11 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle, PA.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
