A.Joanne Mayberry, 87, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 26, 2021 at Clen-Moore Place. Born August 14, 1933 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Delight) Carter. She was preceded in death on June 10, 2016 by her husband of nearly 64 years, Richard Glenn Mayberry, whom she married on June 14, 1952. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Joanne was employed as a teacher's aide with the Midwestern Intermediate Unit until her retirement. She was a member of the former Wesley United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Dianne (David) Hohl of Buffalo, NY and Susan (Thomas) Tobin of Franklinville, NJ; two sons, Richard G. Mayberry, II of York, PA and Keith L. (Amy) Mayberry of Jacksonville, NC; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded by her parent and her husband. Calling hours will be on Saturday, May 15, from 10:00-12:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at noon with the Rev. Darryl Lockie officiating.
