Agnes Morris, 90, of Old Butler Road, passed away the afternoon of July 18, 2018 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born December 23, 1927 in New Castle, she was the daughter of James and Jane (Ellison) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Morris, on August 28, 1986. Agnes attended New Castle High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed baseball and bowling and was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Metrocavige of New Wilmington and Patty Bartley of New Castle; one son, Thomas Morris of New Castle; one sister, Barb Tate of Hermitage; four grandchildren, Adam Metrocavige, Becky Snyder, Laney Pickel and Gregory Bartley; and four great-grandchildren, Noah Bartley, Maxwell Bartley, Emma Bartley and Gino Pickel. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Bill Thompson; one sister, Thelma Oliver; and a son-in-law, Howard Bartley. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Jordan Rimmer officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
