Albert Mazzocca, age 88, of New Castle, passed away December 2, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born September 20, 1935, in New Castle, he was the son of John and Mary (DeRamo) Mazzocca.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Gush) Mazzocca, in July, 1992, after 20 years of marriage.

A 1953 graduate of New Castle High School, Mr. Mazzocca served his country in the US Army from 1958-1960.

After 46 years of employment with Berner International as a machinist, he retired in January, 2016. Al enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with cars. He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by two sisters, Connie Mazzocca of New Castle and Nancy Mazzocca of Tennessee; two stepsons, Edward (Peggy) McConnell of New Castle and Colin (Barbara) McConnell, II of Pulaski; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy, Angelo, Vincent and William Mazzocca.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
