Alberta J. Cooley, age 84, passed away February 23, 2015 at Overlook Medical Clinic in New Wilmington. Born June 11, 1930 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Albert and Catherine Hobbs Wolff. She was preceded in death on March 20, 2005 by her husband, Charles M. Cooley, whom she married July 2, 1949. Alberta was employed with several companies over the years, including Shenango Pottery, Rite Aid, Lawsons and Thrift Drug. Among her interests were playing cards, cooking and flower gardening. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Cooley of Loveland, Colorado, and Cheri Cooley of New Castle; and one sister, Shirley McDonald of Gulf Breeze, Fla. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Wolff; and a sister, Norma Jones. Services will be private, and burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
