Alice "Ann" Marcellas Hawk, age 89, passed away the afternoon of June 17, 2022, at her home in Edinburg, PA.
Born November 12, 1932, in Punxsutawney, PA, she was the daughter of Doyle and Ethel (Mottern) Craft. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Richard Hawk, in 1999.
In her younger years, Ann volunteered as a candy striper while living in Punxsutawney. She loved working in her own greenhouse and gardening. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling across the country and welcoming all the neighborhood children into her home. Ann had a strong Christian faith and loved her family immensely. As the matriarch of the family, her greatest wish was for them to always stay close.
She is survived by two daughters, Candi (Charles) Davis of Lisbon, Ohio and Pamela Sankey of Edinburg; one brother, Ted Craft of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ann was preceded in death by one son, Richard David Hawk, a daughter, Tammy Jo Isaac, and twelve siblings.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 with the Rev. Robert Dayton officiating.
Burial will be in Mahoning Presbyterian Cemetery.
