Alice V. Montabon, 85, of Meegan Avenue, passed away the afternoon of September 21, 2011 at Jameson Hospital.Born August 29, 1926 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Clarence and Bertha Sturdevant Dicks.She married Louis S. Montabon on June 28, 1952. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1998.Alice was a graduate of Eastbrook High School. She was employed with Strouss Department Store as a retail supervisor.Among her many interests were sewing, puzzles, reading and bowling. She most enjoyed time spent with her family.Alice was a member of First Baptist Church.She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Debra Montabon of Pittsburgh, PA; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Lou and Michael Medvec of Hubbard, OH; two sisters, Alma Adams of North Canton, OH, and Ethel Fennick of New Castle; five grandchildren, Lori Garon, Nicole Medvec, Alyssa Medvec, Kelsey Montabon and Tyler Montabon; one great granddaughter, Emma Garon and her companion of 11 years, George "Bud" Williams.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Dicks and one sister, Clara Zeh.Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA.A funeral service will be held on Saturday,Sept. 34, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev.
