Ann R. Bullano, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of November 20, 2011 in Jameson Hospital. Ann was born on December 29, 1916, in New Castle to the late Samuel and Antoinette DeGregory Cioffi. She married John V. Bullano on August 27, 1938. He proceeded her in death on February 5, 2006. Ann worked at the Lawrence County Assessor's office and retired after 10 years of serving as a clerk at the Lawrence County Courthouse. She was an avid reader, Sudoku and crossword puzzle enthusiast, and known for her amazing cooking skills. Ann was deeply involved with care and well being of her family. She was a member of St. Vitus church.Ann is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Danielle and C.P. Sheppard of Hartsville, South Carolina, Marilu and Robert Sochor of Powell, Ohio, and Kathleen and George Gabriel of New Castle. In addition to her daughters she is survived by one grandchild; Douglas Todd Wilkison, three step-grandchildren; Julie, John and Kathy Sochor; and one great-grandchild; Hunter Scott Wilkison.She was proceeded in death by her parents, three brothers; Tony, Chuck and Dom Cioffi, four sisters; Christen Catalano, Frances Panella, Sue Markowitz and Julia Panella, one grandson; David Scott Wilkison and one step-grandson; Robert Scott Sochor.Calling hours will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory on Wilmington Road.A procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 for a 12:00 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vitus Church. The Rev. Father Frank Almade will officiate. Burial will be in Castleview Mausoleum.
