Anna Maria Davis went home to be with her Lord and Savior, whom she honored and served her entire life on October 18, 2016. Anna Maria lived a beautiful life spanning two continents and full of wonderful journeys. Anna Maria was born on May 5, 1923 in Antwerp, Belgium. She was the daughter of talented artist, Alois and gifted seamstress, Rosalia Laenen. Her life's journey started in 1929, at age 6, when she entered Sister Franciscan Boarding School in Herentals, Belgium. She attended Sister Franciscan until 1936. After boarding school she continued her education at a Flemish public high school. During her teenage years and into her adulthood she helped her parents run a family business in Belgium, called the Purple Turnip Grocery Store. She created everlasting memories with her sister as they traveled Europe touring Paris, Holland, and bordering countries. The love of Anna Maria's life was Kenneth L. Davis. Their whirlwind romance began through mail correspondence between her future husband in the United States, and she, in Belgium. She traveled to the United States on the Queen Elizabeth II, to meet Kenneth for the first time. They married one week later. After arriving, Anna Maria taught herself to speak, read, and write English. She continued to read and educate herself her whole life. Anna Maria and her husband enjoyed traveling to Europe and Florida. Together in 1966, they started a family business, K.D.Machine, Inc. She was a member of Evangel Community Church and New Castle Bible Church. She was the loving mother of daughter Rita (Richard) Tanner, and son Kenneth (Pauline) Davis. Her grandchildren include Tanya (Ryan) Sargent, Tiffany Tanner, Jason (Lindsey) Davis, Garret (Jaime) Davis. Her family was completed by her great grandchildren: Tanner Sargent, Sydney Sargent, Sammy Sargent, McKenna Sargent, Kayla Wallace, McKenzie Wallace, Landon Wallace, Aviana Davis, Collin Davis, Parker Davis and Preston Davis. She is survived by her sister, Sini (William) Zepponi of Port St.Lucie, Florida and nephew Alessio (Maryann) Zepponi of New Jersey. Anna Maria's surviving family relatives in Belgium are skilled diamondtologists associated with Tiffany & Co. Anna Maria forged the path of life by honoring God. She will always be remembered for her faith in God and how she consistently prayed for her family and friends. Her prayers, advice, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all. A heartfelt thank you to the staff from Hospice and Jameson Place. Donations may be made to Jameson Hospice in Anna's honor. A private service will be held by the family per Anna Maria's wishes, with no calling hours and Pastor John Yergan holding a memorial service. Arrangements are being handled by the R.
