Anna A. Laitinen, age 94, of New Castle, PA, passed away on June 13, 2023, at her home, with her family beside her.

Born May 3, 1929, in Princeton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey and Anna Mae (Harlan) Flack.

On May 20, 1950, she married her love, Samuel V. Laitinen, Sr. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1991.

Anna worked in her earlier years at Robinson's Diner, Shenango China, and Corsi's Restaurant. For several years, she worked for MACO Cleaning Service, until she was 85 years old. Anna loved spending time with her family, traveling, visiting casinos, and playing the lottery. She had a passion for crocheting beautiful doilies and afghans that she gave to her family and friends. Anna had an endless list of recipes and made awesome cookies for weddings. She was always available to help anyone that needed help. Anna was dearly loved and forever in our hearts.

Anna is survived by four daughters, Sally (Mark) Palkovich, Deborah Laitinen and Deanna Laitinen, all of New Castle, PA, and Nancy (Ralph) Lewis of Florida; one son, Samuel V. Laitinen, Jr., of Austin, TX; one granddaughter, Amber Kuttesch; and her little doggies, "Daisy" and "Dolly" whom she loved very much.

In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by an infant brother.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Joann Lamb, Dr. Paul Wawrzynski, and AHN Hospice for their care and compassion.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no services, at this time.

Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery.
