Anna M. McCurdy, age 82, of Neshannock Township, passed away the morning of January 19, 2016 at her residence.
Born November 4, 1933 in New Castle, she was a daughter of James O. and Dorothy Knight Fobes.
She was preceded in death on October 21, 2010 by her husband of 57 years, Burdell P. McCurdy, whom she married on October 16, 1953.
Anna was employed for over 20 years as a cashier for the Tic Toc Food Mart on Highland Avenue.
She enjoyed camping and cooking and was a member of Wayside Emmanuel Church where she was active in the Missionary Society.
She is survived by two sons, Mark (Michelle) McCurdy of Pittsburgh, and Jay (Sherri) McCurdy of Plant City, FL; one daughter, Penny (Darrell) Main of Ellwood City; twin sisters, Verna Shoaff and Vera (George) McCart, all of New Castle; 4 grandchildren, Heather (Barry) Robinson, Travis McCombs, Lynn McCurdy and Thomas McCurdy; and 7 great-grandchildren, Tyler Karns, Jordyn Karns, Zoe McCombs, Sapphire Brown, Dusty Brown, Tra Pugh, and Shila Pugh.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Earl, Raymond and James Fobes; and 3 sisters, Irene Chuey, Marie Cummins and Dora Mae Kuhn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Crum officiating.
Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
