Anna Viola Wyllie White, 85, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of December 4, 2015 at the Overlook Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born October 15, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA., she was the daughter of Gordon W. and Anna M. Skiles Wyllie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. David P. White in 1973.
After her graduation from Allegheny High School, she was a Control Clerk for Liberty Mutual.
Among her many church activities and interests, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, drawing, art, and playing the piano.
Anna was very active in her churches. She attended Living Word Church and served as the pastors wife at Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church, Princeton Memorial Presbyterian Church and Mahoning Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann Milchak of Princeton, PA.; one son, James David White of Plainfield, IN.; one sister, Martha J. Slippy of Penn Hills, PA.; 3 grandchildren, Joel and Alfred Kennedy, and Brent Milchak; 3 great-grandchildren, Neil , Paige, and Shane Kennedy.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Irvine and James S. Wyllie and one sister, Coral M. Cramer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-6 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
