Anne S. Clifton, 96, of Shenango Presbyterian Home, New Wilmington, passed away the afternoon of June 8, 2011 at her residence.Born January 28, 1915 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Joseph and Anna Scheuplien Schartung. She was married to Howard Clifton who preceded her in death.Anne was employed as an office manager for thirty years with Today's Home Furniture Stores in Pittsburgh.She was a member of the Assumption Church in Belleview.She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law; Howard and Jackie Clifton of Pittsburgh, John and Sharon Clifton of Las Vegas, NV, and Kenneth and Arlene Clifton of New Castle; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. and one brother, Joseph Schartung.There will be no viewing hours and a private burial.Arrangements are by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
