Audrey L. Gardiner, 87, of New Castle, passed away suddenly the afternoon of May 17, 2018 at her home in North Beaver Township.
Born December 20, 1930 in New Castle, she was the daughter of David J. and Clara M. Barnes McConnell.
Audrey was the beloved wife and faithful helpmate of Gene P. Gardiner whom survives in New Castle.
She was a dedicated homemaker most of her life besides her former employment in California when she was an assistant to physician, Dr. Norman.
She enjoyed crafting, and while an active member of First Assembly of God, she ran the kitchen for several church functions.
More recently Audrey was a member of Church of Genesis.
Audrey was the loving mother to her seven children, George H. Pastore, David C. Pastore, Karen D. Jordan, Thomas R. Pastore, Dvora A. Tinley, Michele Gardiner-Morgan and Jason T. Gardiner; grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother of 55 and a family of 71.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Howard McConnell and two sisters, Estelle Hardesty and Monagene Korzec.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Church of Genesis, 303 N. Cedar Street, New Castle, PA with the Rev. Ron Eade officiating.
Entombment will be in Graceland Cemetery Mausoleum.
