Barbara Bradley, age 82, of New Castle, passed away the morning of July 26, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Born June 23, 1942, in New Castle, growing up in Castlewood, she was the daughter of Willard H. Houk, Sr. and Carolyn (Lawton) Houk.

Barbara attended Shenango High School and was employed with several businesses over her lifetime. She worked for Zambelli Fireworks, Haven Nursing Home, and retired as a resident aide from PARC in 2007.

She was a life member of the VFW #315 Ladies Auxiliary. Among her interests, Barbara loved adventurous travel and enjoyed spending time with family.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Allen) Chamovitz of Advance, NC and Linda (J. Gary) Senko of DuBois, PA; one son, Robert E. (Susan) Bradley of New Castle; one brother, Willard Houk, Jr. of Castlewood; five grandchildren, Kurtis Sniezek, Joseph Senko, Carly West, Kyle Bradley and Stuart Chamovitz; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Houk and Jack Houk; an infant sister, Nancy; and her former husband, Arthur Bradley.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road, on Tuesday, July 30, from 5:00-5:30 where everyone is welcome. From 5:30-7:00 the family welcomes guests to come and say their final goodbyes.

A special thank you is extended to the staff of Life Lawrence County who provided excellent care of their mother, and a thank you to Sue Triplett as well.

Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
