Barbara Lou Costa Chamberlain, 86, of New Castle, died peacefully Sunday, July 27, with her daughter by her side. A devoted member of Northminster Presbyterian Church she also belonged to Eastern Star and served as a Rotary Ann for many years.She worked as an interior decorator for Strouss Hirshberg where she met her beloved husband Alan Carl Chamberlain of 39 years who preceded her in death in 1989. Barbara and Al subsequently owned Chamberlain Electric, where she worked until Al's death. Her parents Angelo and Jennie Mottle Costa, a sister Mary Pallott, and three brothers, Louis, Anthony and Robert Costa also preceded her in death.Barbara is survived by her daughter, Alana Natcher (Jack) of New Castle, granddaughter Dawn Troutman of VA and grandsons John Troutman (Stacy) and David Troutman (Lisa) both of OH. She was a proud great grandmother of Adriana, Anthony, Aidan, Noah, and Gabrielle. Devoted to her family she enjoyed being a wife, a mother and a grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with them whether boating, traveling, or being outdoors. Her family is forever grateful for that and she will be dearly missed.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 6 from 10:00-11:00 am at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A memorial service officiated by Rev. Andrew Jillson will be held at 11:00 with interment immediately following at Castleview Cemetery.
