Barbara J. Crothers, age 87, of New Castle, PA, passed away the afternoon of March 17, 2025, at The Haven Convalescent Home.

Born Nov. 18, 1937, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter John and Margaret (Dwyer) Hill.

On May 3, 1957, she married her beloved husband of 64 years, Frederick W. Crothers. He proceeded her in death on Jan. 21, 2022.

Barb was employed by Neshannock School District, as a school bus driver. She enjoyed interacting with the children. Barb enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Ritt of New Castle, PA; three sisters, Shirley Patton, Thelma Coman and Linda Brandt; two grandchildren Benjamin Ritt and Erin Ritt; and one great granddaughter Sophia Lemon.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, with Pastor Warren Sullivan of New Life Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be alongside her husband at Oak Park Cemetery.
