Barbara Sizer Donston, age 80, of New Castle, PA, passed away the evening of Dec. 10, 2021, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born Dec. 14, 1940, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Betty (Boalich) Sizer. On March 26, 1959, she married her beloved husband of 60 years, James 'Jim' P. Donston, who preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 2020. Barbara was a 1958 graduate of New Castle High School. For several years, she worked as a supervisor, employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance, until her retirement. Barbara was a lifelong member of Croton U.M. Church. Survivors include her children, one daughter, Carole (Kraig) Owens of Corinth, TX; three sons, James D. (Cyndi) Donston of Fort Myers FL, Ron (Susan) Donston of Yorktown, VA, and Robert T. (April) Donston of Grove City, PA; one brother, Charles R. Sizer of New Castle, PA, and 13 grandchildren, Jim Jr. (Brooke), Justin (Tierney), Jeffrey (Amy), Lauren, Emily, Ryan, and Michael Donston, Matt (Emily), Jackson, Allison, and Stephanie Owens, Natalie Villani and Lauren (Sam) Vilifshi; and 7 great-grandchildren, C.J., McCaleb, Maddux, Madelyn and Skyler Donston and Jett Owens. In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene J., and Debra L., one brother, Ronald Sizer and one great grandchild, Jupiter.
