Barbara M. Robinson-Parshall, age 89 of New Castle, passed away April 4, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Care Center. Born Oct. 25, 1931, in Youngstown, OH, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Marjorie (Paden) Marquis. Barbara was married to J. Robert Reiber who preceded her in death. She subsequently married Thomas J. Robinson on Feb. 14, 1979, until his passing on Oct. 25, 2005. On Oct. 03, 2008, she married Arthur Parshall. He survives at home. Mrs. Parshall was a New Castle High School graduate. She graduated from Slippery Rock State Teachers College where she earned her bachelor's degree. She was employed by the City Rescue Mission, and worked at Butz Flowers, as a sales associate, for ten years. Barbara was an executive director of the cancer society, for many years. What gave her the most joy in life, was spending time with her family. She attended Highland UP Church and was a member First Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband Arthur, Barbara is survived by one daughter, Tracy (Jim) Latess of Edinburg, PA; two sons, William Rick (Diane) Reiber of New Wilmington, PA, Robert (Robin) Reiber of Holmes Beach, FL; one brother, Bob (Janet) Marquis of New Castle, PA; five grandchildren, Tricia (Steve) Christy of Butler, PA, Talbot (Kiersten) Reiber of Volant, PA, Erin Orrico of Struthers, OH, Breslyn Reiber of Holmes Beach, FL, Logan Reiber of Holmes Beach, FL; and three great grandchildren, Josh Seelbaugh, Romney Reiber and Tenley Reiber. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 12th from 10:00 – 12:00 PM at Highland UP Church, 708 Highland Ave., New Castle. A memorial service will follow immediately after visitation at noon with Pastor Richard Kinney officiating. All CDC guidelines will be in place in regard to wearing masks and social distancing. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to the American Cancer Society and the City Rescue Mission, 319 S. Croton Ave., New Castle, PA 16101.
