Becky Louise Steele, 68, of Edinburg, PA, passed away the morning of August 16, 2026, at Quality Life Services in New Castle.

Born July 21, 1958, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Charles R. and Virginia E. (Lee) Walters.

Becky was preceded in death on July 8, 2016, by her husband of 25 years, Jerry W. Steele, whom she married August 25, 1990.

After her graduation in 1977 from Union High School, she furthered her education at the Erie Business Center where she received her associates degree. She was employed for 18 years as a bus driver for various school districts.

Among her varied interests, she enjoyed camping and crocheting, but especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Ashley Hause (Charlie) and Melissa Steele, both of New Castle; five sons, Robert A. (Jamie) Richardson, III, of New Castle, Steven A. Steele of Pulaski, PA, Casey Steele of New Castle, Brian W. Steele of Kansas, and Shawn Steele of New York; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Steele on July 2, 2016; two brothers, Richard F. Walters, Sr. and Dale Walters; and one sister, Lois L. Walters.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. A private burial will be held for the family at Oak Park Cemetery.
