Benjamin Warren Bennett, Jr., 78, of New Castle, passed away on September 22, 2016 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, in Pittsburgh. Benjamin was born on March 8, 1938, in Wheeling, WV, to the late Benjamin W., Sr. and Aretta Searfoss Bennett. He married the former Mildred J. Slack on April 4, 1964. She survives. Mr. Bennett worked as a wheelchair lift installer for Castle Mobility. In his earlier years, he owned his own car and motorcycle shops. His love of antique cars and hot rods continued throughout his life along with a passion for wood working. Benjamin was also a member of the American Rifle Association. Mr. Bennett was a proud veteran of the US Marines. He enlisted twice in his 9 year career with the military and served during the Vietnam War. Benjamin was a member of Calvary Independent Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bennett is survived by his 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Joanie L. and David Restino of Clearfield, PA, Pamla L. and John Mixter of Imperial, PA; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Bennett of New Castle, Warren and Genie Bennett of Cincinnati, OH; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Clayton and Irene Bennett, Edward and Judy Bennett, both of New Castle; One sister, Arlene White of New Castle; 2 grandchildren, David Restino, Jr. and Heather Mixter and many friends, along the way. He was preceded in passing by his parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 5:00 pm at Calvary Independent Church, 424 E.
