Bernice "Bertha" Jurina, 87, of Avalon Nursing Center, died the evening of June 8, 2010 in Jameson Hospital North.Born January 24, 1923 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mary Gorski Maslyk. She was married to John Jurina who preceded her in death in 1980.Bertha was a homemaker and a former member of St. Michael's Church.She is survived by three sons; Gerald E. Jurina, Raymond Jurina and Thomas Jurina, all of New Castle; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one son, John Jurina, five sisters and three brothers.There are no calling hours.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June 11, 2010, at 10:00 AM at St. Camillus Church. The Rev. Father Thomas Lewandowski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
