Betty M. Anderson, 90, of New Castle, passed away the evening of December 28, 2014 at Rhodes Estates. Born December 23, 1924 in New Castle, she was a daughter of William Clarence Wright and Ethel Mae Brinton Wright. She was preceded in death in 1965 by her husband, James W. Anderson, whom she married on April 24, 1948. Betty was a January 1942 graduate of New Castle High School. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service where she worked in the sorting center. Betty was a former member of Second U.P. Church and was a member of Wimodausis. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Mac Erwin) Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio and Nancy (Jake) Blank of New Castle; three sons, Neil (Darlene) Anderson of Nicholasville, KY, J. Bruce (Caroline) Anderson of New Castle, and David (Michele) Anderson of Mansfield, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanne Newman. At Betty's request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held March 20, 2015 at Castle View Gardens Chapel. The time will be announced later. Arrangements are by the R.
