Betty S. Blazzo, 90, of 3210 Ellwood Road, New Castle, passed away the afternoon of October 14, 2014 at Jameson Hospital.Born June 17, 1924 in Ellwood City, Pa., she was a daughter of Alexander and Mary Ann Lutz Main.She was preceded in death on February 15, 2010 by her husband of 62 years, Michael A. Blazzo, Sr., whom she married September 25, 1947.Betty was a nurse's aide at both Macaluso's Nursing Home and Shenango Presbyterian Nursing Home.She was a former member of Clifton Flat Alliance Church and enjoyed reading her Bible and walking.She is survived by 4 daughters, Linda J. Blazzo, Mary Ann (Barry) Nyahay, and Angela (Randy) Hogue, all of New Castle, Roseanne Jesseman of Indian Harbour Beach, FL; 3 sons, Leonard A. Blazzo and Michael A. Blazzo, Jr., both of New Castle, and George J. Blazzo of Ellwood City; 1 brother, Loren Main of New Castle; 3 sisters, Gertrude Reynolds of New Mexico, Rachel Reno and Elizabeth Natale of New Castle; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the R.
