Betty Carr, 72 , of New Castle, passed away on April 27, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Betty was born June 23, 1945. Betty was the daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine Garrett. She was married to Bob Carr for 36 years, he survives at home. Betty worked for 35 years in the billing department at Jameson Hospital, retiring in 2009. Betty loved more than anything spending time with her children and grandchildren. Betty also enjoyed baking, and will be remembered for her delicious pies and cookies. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by three daughters; Jean (Dave) Watson of Volant, Joanne Zentiska of New Castle, Julie (Mike) Robinson of New Castle, two step children; Ron (Edna) Carr of New Castle, Robin Carr of Ellwood City, three brothers; Dave Garrett, Sam Garrett, Ron Garrett, all from New Wilmington, seven grandchildren; David, Christopher, Amanda, Paul, Krista, Ron, Nicole; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Layne. In keeping with Betty's wishes there will be no visitation. There will be a private memorial service for family and close friends announced at a further time.
