Betty J. Kelly, age 68, of New Castle, passed away the early morning of Oct. 15, 2023, at her residence.

Born Dec. 13, 1954, in Bedford, OH, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Bessie (Malone) Rick.

Betty worked as a dasher for Door Dash. She loved bingo, lottery tickets, watching late night 50's shows, and traveling with her companion Rich. What gave her the most joy, was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her companion, Rich Forney of New Castle; two daughters, Loretta (Samuel) McCreery and Rose (Eric) Duncan, both of New Castle; three sons, Joseph Rick of New Castle, James (Jennifer) Kelly of Campbell, OH, and Andrew Kelly; one brother, Andrew (Kristy) Rick of Austintown, OH; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Rick, one son, William F. Meadows and great-granddaughter, Rania Koziol.

Visitation will be held on Thurs. Oct. 19th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place on Thurs., at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home immediately following visitation.

Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery.
