Betty L. Leslie, 93, of New Castle, passed away January 25, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born August 26, 1926 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Carl and Elizabeth (O'berg) Anderson. She was preceded in death on July 25, 2002 by her husband, William M. Leslie, whom she married September 16, 1949. A 1945 New Castle High School graduate, she attended St. Francis School of Nursing to receive her Registered Nurse degree. She was employed as an RN for Westminster College for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of Eastbrook United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce E. Leslie and husband John Kiely of Peak's Island, Maine, and Cindy K. Miles and husband Bob of Slippery Rock, PA; one son, Michael W. Leslie and wife Carolyn of New Castle; one brother, Linn Anderson of New Castle; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Anderson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Eastbrook United Methodist Church, 2412 Eastbrook Road, New Castle, PA, with the Rev. Loren McQueen officiating.
