Betty J. Seiler, born August 6, 1929, went to be with the Lord Monday morning, October 19, 2020 at Quality Life Services New Castle. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Bernard D. Seiler, Sr. They were married for 65 years and had four children: Linda (LTC. (retired) Steven Lawrence of Pittsburgh, Cheronne Martongelli of Florida, Bernard D. Seiler, Jr. of Irwin, and K. George Seiler of New Castle; one sister, Marilyn (David) Solomon of Virginia survives. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Stefan (Heather), Sarah (Jeff), Peter, Franc, Cara, Shawn, Jordan, Dylan, Shane, Courtney and Ryan. Betty was blessed with 10 great-grandchildren. Betty was dedicated to her church, the former Kings Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved to entertain family and friends in her home. Sewing and her flowers were favorites. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, T. John and Elizabeth (Doloughan) Stoner; one sister, Doris Richardson; and three brothers, Russell, Robert and John (Jack) Stoner. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, from 10:00-12:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A private funeral service will take place immediately following at 12:00 with Pastor Jessica McClure Archer officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Oak Park Cemetery.
