Betty L. Zeigler, 84, formerly of Garfield Avenue, New Castle, passed away the morning of March 3, 2014 at the home of her son in New Castle.Born March 9, 1929 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Floyd and Harriet Hazel Morse Houk.She was preceded in death on June 27, 2008 by her husband of 58 years, Joseph T. Zeigler, whom she married February 18, 1950.Betty was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.She is survived by one son and his wife, Bryan and Sherry Zeigler of New Castle; one daughter, Jodi Razzano of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Alice Emery of New Castle; six grandchildren, Bryan (Daphne) Zeigler, Nicki Curlilovic, Michael (Alysia) Zeigler, Richard (Leah) Razzano, Jr., Joseph Razzano, and Josh Razzano; five great-grandchildren, Avery Zeigler, Swayze Razzano, Isabella Razzano, Sloane Zeigler, and Chase Curlilovic; a sister-in-law, Peggy McHugh; and two nieces, Susan Devido and Sally McHugh.In addition to her parents and her husband Joseph, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ione Mayberry, Lois McCallion, Katherine Perry and Helen Houk; and three brothers, Samuel, Robert and Joseph Houk.Private services were held last week at the R.
