Bill Alansky, 78. of New Castle passed away the morning of July 21, 2012 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.Born Dec. 4, 1933 in New Castle, he was the son of David and Bertha Leond Alansky. Bill married Audrey L. Neimark Alansky May 16, 1957. She passed away March 29, 2008. Bill was the owner of a tee shirt company for 30 years. His wife and son worked with him for many years, until they passed away. Bill's son Rand died from leukemia in 2004. They worked at Rogers, Four Seasons, and Austintown flea markets. Prior to that Bill had worked at Fisher's Big Wheel for 25 years. Bill served in the U.S. Army and attended the University of Pittsburgh for a year. Bill was a member of Temple Hadar Israel.He is survived by his daughter, Deena Alansky of Pittsburgh; his sister, Molly Birnbaum of Marion, OH; his companion, Sandra Clark; and many cousins.Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Rand Alansky; and his his sister Rebecca Alansky.Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25, 2012, from 1-2 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at 2 p.m. Rabbi Martin Shorr will officiate.
