Bonnie L. Geddis, 70, of 310 Reis Street, New Castle, passed away the morning of March 15, 2010 in Jameson Hospital North.Born on July 30, 1939, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Melvin P. and Dorothy Williams Taylor. She married James F. Geddis on September 18, 1971. He survives in New Castle. Mrs. Geddis was a homemaker. She attended New Castle High School. She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, dancing, flowers and her cat Becky.Bonnie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Mohammed Blaik of New Castle, one son, James Reese, Jr. of California, one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and William Klenotic of New Castle, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Patty and Bob Salmen of New Castle, Emily Cross of Florida, three grandchildren, Salah Blaik of New Castle, Rashid Blaik of New Castle and Jessica Allsopp of California.She was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will be on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle.A service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Pastor Randy Crum of Wayside Emmanuel Church will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
