Bruce A. Steese, 55, formerly of Pearson St., New Castle, went to be with the Lord on the morning of April 2, 2011 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital Facility of Boardman.Bruce was born on September 5, 1955, in New Castle, to the late Clark F. and Betty Jane Sheely Steese. He was a graduate of the Lawrence County Vo-Tech and served his country in the US Army at Fort Campbell, KY. Mr. Steese was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending baseball games with his friends. He loved his family and enjoyed every moment spent with them.Bruce is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Linda L. and John McGuire; one niece, Stephanie and her husband Todd Mojock; and one great nephew, Tyler Mojock all of New Castle.Mr. Steese was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents.Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2011, from 5-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. John Yergan will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
