Obituary

Caleb L. Temple, age 87, formerly of New Castle, passed away the morning of May 6, 2024, at Cambridge Falls Senior Living in Wampum, PA.

Born August 19, 1936, in Dilliner, PA, he was the son of Earnest L. and Sara M. (Watkins) Temple.

He was preceded in death on November 17, 2021, by his wife of 63 years, Marcia K. (Gamble) Temple, whom he married June 28, 1958.

Caleb was a graduate of West Virginia University where he received his bachelor's degree in business management. He served his country in the US Air Force from 1960-1964 with the rank of Airman 1st Class.

For several years he was employed with Matlack, Inc. as a manager until gaining employment with McClure-Johnston, Inc. as a wholesale manager

Caleb was active with the Mahoning Lodge #243 Free and Accepted Masons as well as the Syria Shrine and Legion of Honor. Prior to his membership at Word of Life Family Church, he attended First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by four daughters, Laurie (Frank) Pollio and Lisa (Brian) Duckworth, both of New Castle, Leslie (Mark) Pagley of Russellville, AR, and Linda (Brad) Ragazzo of Timnath, CO; one son, Larry (Amy) Temple of Fairview, PA; one brother, Timothy S. Temple of Butler; one sister, Kelly Temple of Butler; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Sue Temple and one sister, Michele Garlin.

There will be a one-hour visitation Monday, May 13, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Word of Life Family Church, 326 Laurel Blvd, New Castle, followed by an 11:00 funeral service. Rev. Mark Pagley will officiate.

Military rites will be performed by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Word of Life Family Church.
